Catcher Technology (TPE:2474) said artificial intelligence server products are set to become a major growth driver, with revenue contribution expected to rise significantly in the second half of this year, Taipei Times reported Thursday, citing Chairman Allen Hung.

Hung said the company began small-scale shipments of AI-related components in late last year. Catcher expects these products to account for around 20% of total revenue this year. He added that the momentum is likely to continue into next year, according to the report.

Catcher, traditionally a supplier of laptop casings, is shifting its business toward AI server hardware, including chassis components for next-generation server systems. Hung said AI server-related revenue is expected to outperform the company's laptop casing business over the next three years, the news outlet reported.

Catcher is also looking to increase the share of non-notebook products to more than 30% of total revenue this year, Taipei Times reported.

In addition, the company is expanding into components for medical devices, semiconductor equipment, aerospace applications and drones. It has obtained aerospace certification and has already secured drone-related orders from international customers. It is also exploring opportunities in AI robotics through cooperation with a U.S. startup, while expanding manufacturing capacity in Southeast Asia, including new facilities in Thailand and Vietnam, according to the report.
