Hyperfine Shares Climb on Addition to Russell Indices

Shares of Hyperfine jumped after the company said it would join the Russell 3000 Index and the Russell 2000 Index.

The stock was up 9.7% at $1.64 on Tuesday. Shares have now gained 67% since the start of the year.

The health technology company said before the opening bell that it is expected to join the broad market Russell 3000 and the small-cap Russell 2000 at the end of next month's rebalancing of the indices.

Many exchange-traded funds and mutual funds track the Russell 3000 and Russell 2000, meaning Hyperfine's addition would create a wave of automatic buying into those shares from fund investors.
