ComfortDelGro's Stock Selloff Presents Accumulation Opportunity -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
May 21

0245 GMT - ComfortDelGro's stock selloff since it reported 1Q results earlier this month likely presents an opportunity to accumulate the shares, RHB Research's Shekhar Jaiswal says in a research report. Earnings of the company's public-transport segment are protected by indexed fare pass-through mechanisms, the analyst says. Also, disruptions to the multimodal transport operator's 1Q earnings from its Addison Lee business in the U.K. are probably temporary rather than structural. However, RHB Research cuts its profit forecast for ComfortDelGro by 24% in 2026, 29% in 2027 and 34% in 2028 following the company's sharp 1Q earnings miss. It lowers the stock's target price to S$1.45 from S$1.64, with an unchanged buy rating. Shares are 1.55% higher at S$1.31. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
