HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KRX:009540) secured an order for six very large ammonia carriers (VLACs) from a European shipowner.
The deal is valued at 1.08 trillion won. The shipbuilder will deliver the vessels by Dec. 20, 2029, according to a Thursday filing with the Korean Exchange.
Shares of the shipbuilder added more than 4% at market close.
