Advance Auto Swings to Fiscal Q1 Adjusted Earnings, Revenue Rises; Shares Up Pre-Bell

Advance Auto Parts (AAP) reported fiscal Q1 adjusted earnings Thursday of $0.77 per diluted share, swinging from a loss of $0.22 a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected EPS of $0.43.
Net sales for the quarter ended April 25 were $2.61 billion, up from $2.58 billion a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.57 billion.
The company continues to expect full-year adjusted EPS of $2.40 to $3.10 on sales of $8.49 billion to $8.58 billion. Analysts are looking for $2.80 and $8.56 billion, respectively.
Advance Auto Parts shares were up 5% in premarket activity.
