Freshpet's board has authorized a $150 million share repurchase program, citing confidence in the company's balance sheet.
The pet food company on Thursday said the authorization is effective immediately, doesn't have a fix expiration date, and will be funded through existing cash, future cash flow from operations, future borrowings.
Chief Financial Officer John O'Connor said the buyback program reflects the company's strong financial position and balance sheet.
