Elders Looks Oversold After 1H Earnings Miss -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
May 19

Elders's 1H earnings miss doesn't shake Morgans's bullish call on its stock. "While we recognize that greater certainty is required on a number of fronts until a material rerating can occur, we think that Elders is oversold," analyst Belinda Moore says. Elders's trading multiples are undemanding, Morgans says. Elders also offers a fully franked dividend yield that the bank views as attractive. "Elders has many growth projects in place to deliver strong earnings growth over coming years, it just needs to deliver," Morgans says. Its price target falls 8.7% to A$7.90. Elders ended Monday at A$5.55. (david.winning@wsj.com; @dwinningWSJ)
