Singapore Airlines is scheduled to report full-year results on Thursday. Here's what you need to know:

NET PROFIT FORECAST: Singapore's flagship airline is expected to record net profit of 1.075 billion Singapore dollars, equivalent to US$845.1 million, for the year ended March, according to a poll of analysts by Visible Alpha. That would be a 61% drop compared to the prior year.

REVENUE FORECAST: Revenue is expected to rise 3.9% to S$20.30 billion, according to the Visible Alpha poll.

The airline's shares have fallen 1.9% so far this year, lagging behind the benchmark Straits Times Index's 7.7% gain, as uncertainty lingers from the ongoing Middle East conflict, which continues to drive fuel prices higher and disrupt travel and cargo routes.

WHAT TO WATCH:

--AIR INDIA: Air India, which SIA holds a stake in, could post wider losses as it's unclear if the airline has taken any fuel hedges ahead of the escalations in the Middle East conflict, CGS International analyst Raymond Yap said in a recent note. Due to disruptions to the airspace amid the conflict, Air India has had to take longer flight routes, resulting in more refueling, adding to the higher jet fuel burden, Yap said.

--OUTLOOK: Uncertainties surrounding the U.S.-Iran war clouds earnings visibility for the current fiscal year, said UOB Kay Hian analyst Roy Chen. Rising jet fuel prices are expected to impact earnings for the April-July period, though SIA has a relatively high fuel hedging position Chen said. He added SIA would also benefit from redirected air traffic from Middle Eastern carriers amid the ongoing conflict.
