Vishay Intertechnology Swings to Fiscal Q1 Profit as Revenue Rises

Vishay Intertechnology (VSH) reported Wednesday its fiscal Q1 swung to a profit of $0.05 per diluted share, compared with a loss of $0.03 a year earlier.
Two analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.03.
Revenue for the quarter ended April 4 was $839.2 million, up from $715.2 million a year earlier.
Three analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $823.5 million.
The company said it expects Q2 revenue in the range of $875 million to $905 million.
Three analysts polled by FactSet expect $862.5 million.
