Colliers International Group Logs Wider 1Q Loss

Colliers International Group's first quarter loss widened despite segment strength across the board supported higher revenue.

The commercial real estate services and investment-management company on Tuesday posted a net loss of $24 million, or 47 cents a share, widening from $4.3 million, or 8 cents a share, in the comparable quarter a year ago.

Adjusted earnings were 91 cents a share. According to FactSet, analysts were expecting 94 cents a share.

Revenues rose to $1.31 billion from $1.14 billion a year earlier, coming in ahead of expectations of $1.27 billion.

Of its segments, commercial real estate logged 14% higher revenue, while engineering revenues rose 23%. Investment management was up 7%.
