0339 GMT - CIMB Group's Indonesian unit's net interest margin is likely to stay flat to slightly softer in the near term, as higher deposit costs and a shift toward lower-yield loans continue to weigh, Hong Leong IB analyst Raymond Ng says in a note. CIMB Niaga's loan growth is expected to recover toward management's 4.5% target, supported by its pivot to higher-yield retail and small business lending, he says. 1Q loan growth was at 2.2%. Fee-based income, particularly from wealth management and transaction banking, could remain a key earnings driver, helping offset pressure on net interest income, he reckons. CIMB's valuation appears undemanding, with an attractive dividend yield of over 6%, he adds. Hong Leong keeps its buy rating and target price at 9.80 ringgit. Shares are 0.4% higher at 7.69 ringgit.
