1044 ET - Gildan Activewear's acquisition of HanesBrands and the integration of that business "should drive incremental sales growth and margin expansion," helped by Gildan's low-cost vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities, UBS says in a note. The analysts say that even with the upswing after the 1Q earnings release, the stock still has 77% upside to their price target. "Gildan is still in the early innings of the HanesBrands integration," the analysts say, noting that a series of beat-and-raise quarters over the next twelve months, along with an investor day planned for December 2026, should fuel strong EPS growth and a higher P/E multiple. Gildan is flat year-to-date, but up 35% over the past year. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
