Tivan (ASX:TVN) and the Northern Territory government created a project control group to support the accelerated development of the company's Molyhil tungsten project in the state, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The control group, chaired by the Department of Mining and Energy, will provide a structured framework to help coordinate state government agencies and resolve issues raised by Tivan, per the filing.

The company said it considers the establishment of the group, which covers both Molyhil and the adjacent Sandover fluorite project, to be "a material de-risking factor in the pathway to production."

Tivan is targeting a final investment decision for Molyhil in the fourth quarter of 2027.

The company's shares fell 5% in recent Thursday trade.
