WPP's Performance Unlikely to Drive Consensus Shifts -- Market Talk
Dow Jones
Apr 28
0830 GMT - WPP's results are unlikely to prompt consensus changes as the company maintained its full-year guidance, Citi analysts write in a note. The U.K. advertising group's first-quarter performance indicates positive momentum, especially in new business wins, they say. Additionally, like-for-like revenue less pass-through costs has exceeded consensus expectations, they note. "From here, further progress on the Elevate28 strategy, and in particular, clarity on potential disposals, is key to enabling the market to focus on the improving fundamentals," they say. Shares are up 0.2% at 2.60 pounds. (najat.kantouar@wsj.com)
