Ramelius Resources (ASX:RMS) said drilling at the Dalgaranga gold project in Western Australia during the March quarter showed that there was new mine potential at Gilbey's underground deposit, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

It reported intercepts of 3.9 meters at 21.2 grams per tonne grade of gold from 219 meters, as well as 6.1 meters at 10.4 g/t grade of gold from 207.7 meters.

It also reported intercepts of one meter at 8.96 g/t grade of gold from 115 meters, as well as 0.6 meters at 24.3 g/t grade of gold from 307.5 meters from the Plymouth-Sly Fox area.

The exploration program sought to delineate new mineralization down-dip of the current mineral resource estimates, while also converting the existing inferred mineral resources.
