Sing Investments & Finance's Net Interest Margin More Resilient Than Peers -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Apr 14

0614 GMT - Sing Investments & Finance's net interest margin is likely more resilient and structurally higher than larger peers, as it targets under-served and relationship-driven segments, Maybank Research's Toh Xuan Hao says. The company has built a niche lending franchise focusing on small- and medium-size enterprises, with over 70% of its loan mix tied to SMEs across commercial, hire purchase, and construction-linked financing. This positioning drives steady loan growth, customer stickiness, and repeat lending opportunities for the Singapore-listed finance company. Maybank Research initiates coverage of the stock with a buy rating and a target price of S$2.11. Shares are 1.2% higher at S$1.63. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
