Parkway Life REIT Set to Benefit From Higher Inflation in Singapore -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

0720 GMT - Parkway Life REIT stands to benefit from higher inflation in Singapore, DBS Group Research's Derek Tan says, noting the MAS' raising 2026 core and headline inflation forecasts. Rising inflation is a tailwind for the REIT, with around 65% of revenue derived from Singapore hospitals under an inflation-linked rental structure, the analyst says in a research report. From FY 2026, rent reviews will be pegged to the higher of CPI-plus-1% or base-plus-variable-rent, embedding upside in a higher inflation environment. The higher 2026 inflation outlook for Singapore should feed directly into stronger FY 2027 rent growth for the REIT. DBS has a buy rating and a target price of S$4.75 on the REIT's units. The units are unchanged at S$4.01. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
