SOPHiA GENETICS (SOPH) said Thursday that Mount Sinai Health System will adopt its SOPHiA DDM platform to support cancer research and expand genomic testing capabilities.

The company said Mount Sinai's molecular pathology team plans to use the artificial intelligence-powered platform to strengthen next-generation sequencing analysis for both blood cancers and solid tumors, helping detect and interpret complex genomic variants more efficiently.

Mount Sinai, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center that treats more than 4,000 oncology patients annually, is expected to use the platform to streamline laboratory workflows and reduce manual interpretation time, it said.
