WAM Capital (ASX:WAM)said its net tangible assets (NTA) per share before tax stood at AU$1.2531 in March, down from AU$1.356 in February, before an interim dividend of AU$0.0775 per share, partially franked at 60%, payable on May 29, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The company said its investment portfolio has returned 14.4% per year since inception in August 1999, outperforming the S&P/ASX All Ordinaries Accumulation Index return of 8%, with total assets of AU$1.4 billion and a month-end share price of AU$1.665 as at March 31.
The annualized interim dividend yield stands at 9.3%, with a grossed-up dividend yield of 11.7%, dividends paid since the inception of AU$3.315 per share, or AU$4.683 including the value of franking credits, and a profits reserve of AU$0.211 per share.
The company's shares rose almost 1% in recent Friday trade.
