Vitrafy Life Sciences (ASX:VFY) said the US Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) completed the phase two testing of its platelet cryopreservation study using Vitrafy's cryopreservation ecosystem, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The study sought to confirm the consistency of earlier results and further characterise performance across multiple cryopreservation formulations. The work was carried out under the ongoing cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) between the firm and the US Army.

Its shares rose 5% in recent trading on Wednesday.
