Altair Minerals (ASX:ALR) said a soil sampling program defined two major geochemical drill targets at the Southern Oko prospect, part of the Greater Oko project in Guyana, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The drill targets are the W1 target, the largest coherent over 100 parts-per-billion (ppb) grade gold soil anomaly identified to date on the Oko Shear contact, and the W3 target, located south of the W1 target, a 50 to over 100 ppb gold soil anomaly.

Its shares jumped 4% in early trading on Thursday.
