Many Peaks Minerals (ASX:MPK) said it identified high-grade gold mineralization during a recent drilling at its Ferké gold project in the Ivory Coast, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The results were up to 105 meters at 2.28 grams per tonne gold from 28 meters, including two meters at 26.9 grams per tonne gold and three meters at 17.8 grams per tonne gold.

The company said a mineral resource estimate (MRE) for the Ferké gold project is planned for the early second quarter, with the reported results forming a cut-off point for inclusion in the MRE.

The company added that two diamond drill rigs continue at Ferké, targeting an updated MRE to accompany a pre-feasibility study in the fourth quarter.

The company's shares rose 12% in recent Thursday trade.
