Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) said its research program with Rice University continues to advance, with optimization underway to produce defense-grade antimony of more than 99% purity using material sourced from its Mojave project in California, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The company said Deep Eutectic Solvent (DES) technology research and testing are progressing toward commercialization as a vertically integrated mine-to-market platform.
The company said it is also advancing development of a vertically integrated processing-to-energy materials platform, including antimony-impregnated carbon and graphite composites with potential high-durability industrial applications, antimony-coated metal substrates with potential battery anode and semiconductor applications, and a novel flame-retardant antimony compound.
The company's shares fell 8% in recent Monday trade.
