IGO (ASX:IGO) struck a binding deal to buy the remaining 49% interest in its Arizona-based Copper Wolf joint venture from Buxton Resources (ASX:BUX) for around AU$6.2 million in cash, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The deal, which is subject to Buxton shareholder approval, will give IGO full ownership of the central Copper Wolf area, including Bobcat and the supergene blanket at Rattler, per the filing. The earn-in and joint venture agreements reached between IGO and Buxton in 2022 will be terminated.
IGO, which is working on a targeted drilling program planned in the first half of 2027, said earlier mapping and drilling showed porphyry-style mineralization and alteration in much of the Copper Wolf project area.
