BRP Backs Rosy Outlook with 16% Hike to Quarterly Dividend -- Market Talk

0942 ET - BRP is speeding up its shareholder returns. The company has increased its dividend by 16% for a quarterly C$0.25 payout rate. On an analyst call, BRP's CFO Sebastien Martel says the company is confident in the business trajectory, despite uncertainty for the economy which could affect the industry. He also notes that the company continues to buy back shares, and still has about 2.6 million shares left in the current buyback program. At Wednesday's closing price of C$89.53 a share, the value of those shares remaining in the buyback program would be worth about C$233 million. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
