Shares of M-tron Industries rose after the company posted revenue growth and a higher profit in the fourth quarter, surpassing Wall Street estimates.
The stock was up 11% to $71.00 in Wednesday afternoon trading. Shares have gained 59% over the past year.
The electronic components company, which serves the aerospace, defense, and space industries, on Tuesday reported a profit of $3.43 million, or 99 cents a share, up from $2.14 million, or 73 cents a share, a year earlier.
Revenue rose to $14.2 million from $12.8 million a year prior. The increase was driven by higher sales of defense products and solutions, as well as more shipments in the avionics sector.
Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting earnings of 66 cents a share and $13.7 million in revenue.
The company ended 2025 with a backlog of $76.4 million, up from $47.2 million a year earlier.
