New Hope (ASX:NHC) reported Tuesday fiscal first-half earnings of AU$0.068 per share, down from AU$0.383 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings of AU$0.08.
Revenue for the six months ended Jan. 31, was AU$814.4 million, compared with AU$1.02 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected AU$803 million.
The company maintains its previous fiscal 2026 run-of-mine coal production guidance of 15.7 million to 17.7 million tonnes, saleable coal production guidance of 10.2 million to 11.5 million tonnes, and coal sales guidance of 10.2 million to 11.5 million tonnes.
The board declared an interim dividend of AU$0.10 per share, down from AU$0.19 a year earlier, payable April 20 to shareholders on record as of April 1.
