Ampol (ASX:ALD) said it welcomes the outcome of the first-phase review of the Fuel Security Services Payment (FSSP), resulting in an increase to the margin marker collar, the level at which FSSP support starts, to AU$0.10 per liter from AU$0.064, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company expects engaging with the Australian Government on a second-phase review anticipated to be completed this year, the filing said.

Additionally, the company confirmed that it has deferred its scheduled refinery major maintenance program to August from June, per the filing.

Shares rose nearly 2% in midday trade Friday and earlier reached their highest since May 2024.
