Altech Batteries (ASX:ATC) surrendered the exploration license 70/4718 to reduce operating costs moving forward and received acknowledgement of the surrender from Western Australia's Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The license was considered a non-core asset. It was held by its subsidiary Canning Coal.
The firm's shares rose 2% in recent trading on Wednesday.
