Shanghai Junshi Biosciences (HKG:1877, SHA:688180) said Chinese regulators had accepted the new drug application of toripalimab injection for review, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Monday.
The firm is seeking the drug's approval for 12 indications in the treatment of tumors.
Hong Kong shares gained nearly 6% in late-morning trade Tuesday, while Shanghai shares of the company rose nearly 4%.
