Shares of Midland States Bancorp tumbled in premarket trading Monday after the bank holding company said it has fired Eric Lemke as its chief financial officer.
Midland States didn't give a reason for the move, which it disclosed after the closing bell Friday in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Shares of the Effingham, Ill., company, which closed Friday at $21.21, were recently down 20% at $17.01 in light premarket trading.
Lemke joined Midland States in 2018 and had been finance chief since November 2019.
Midland States said Claire Stack, who joined the company as controller in November, will now serve as vice president, chief accounting officer and interim chief financial officer.
