Catapult Sports Keeps Bull Despite Share-Price Drop -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Mar 06

0031 GMT - Catapult Sports keeps its bull at Bell Potter despite the likelihood of it being cut from Australia's benchmark stock index. Keeping a buy rating on the stock, analyst Chris Savage tells clients in a note that the athletic-tech provider's exit from the S&P/ASX 200 is already widely anticipated. The stock is down by about 50% from the record high it set in October, but Savage sees the May annual result announcement as a potential positive catalyst. He expects Catapult to achieve guidance and sees little evidence of any threat from the AI-driven disruption that is roiling tech valuations. If tech stocks rally, Savage reckons Catapult would be among the better performers. Bell Potter cuts its target price 12% to A$4.85. Shares are up 6.5% at A$3.875. (stuart.condie@wsj.com)
