South Korea's President Lee Jae Myung met Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in Singapore on Monday for summit talks focused on upgrading the existing 2006 bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) and boosting cooperation in AI and nuclear energy, Reuters reported the same day.

The two countries signed five memoranda of understanding that cover areas such as small modular reactors, AI, quantum technology, and space satellites, among others. They also agreed to expand investment collaboration between Singaporean investment firm Temasek and its asset management arm Seviora Group and the state-run Korea Development Bank, the report said.
