ACADIA Pharmaceuticals' Rett Syndrome Drug Faces EMA Setback

Acadia Pharmaceuticals (ACAD) received a negative opinion from the European Medicines Agency for Daybu, an experimental treatment for neurodevelopmental disorder Rett syndrome, the regulator said Friday.
The EMA recommended refusing marketing authorization for Daybu, and the company may request a re-examination of the opinion within 15 days of receiving the opinion, the regulator added.
