1222 ET - John Peyton, CEO of Applebee's owner Dine Brands, says on a call with analysts that increased manager visibility in the dining room is directly correlated to higher guest satisfaction scores, more consistent execution and improved off-premise order accuracy. All of these are key drivers of cost reduction and repeat business, Peyton adds, noting the company will emphasize manager visibility this year. Dine Brands, which also owns IHOP, says that its brands' performance improved in 2025 compared with a year earlier, driven by operational improvements across the business. "And as we look to 2026, we're staying the course," Peyton says. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
