The 2026 specialized student recruitment in Guiyang and Gui'an is divided into two categories. The first is the Project Plan for specialized students, involving 22 schools including Guiyang No.1 High School, Guiyang No.3 Experimental High School (Guizhou Hope Experimental School), Guiyang No.6 High School, Guiyang No.8 High School, and the Guiyang School Affiliated to Minzu University of China. The second category is for specialized students at schools with distinctive programs, involving institutions such as Guiyang No.5 High School, Guiyang No.12 High School, the High School Affiliated to Guizhou Normal University, Guiyang Purui School, and Xiuwen County No.1 High School.

Current junior high school graduates taking the senior high school entrance exam (Zhongkao) in Guiyang and Gui'an who possess sports, arts, or science & technology innovation talents may apply for the Project Plan. Both current and previous junior high school graduates taking the Zhongkao in the area may apply for specialized programs at distinctive schools.

Professional tests for sports and arts specialized students will be conducted as city-wide unified exams. For science & technology innovation specialized students, a city-wide unified subject ability test will be held. The final score is calculated as: Subject Ability Test Score * 60% + School Comprehensive Ability Test Score * 40%.

The registration period is from June 13th to June 15th (daily from 10:00 to 17:00). Eligible candidates can find the registration portal for "High School Sports Reserve Talent and Specialized Student Enrollment Exams" on the homepage of the "Shuang Guiyang" app to complete their application.
