According to Zhitong Finance APP, DEEP SOURCE (00990) rose over 6%, up 6.31% as of press time to HK$0.59, with a turnover of HK$4.7277 million.

On the news front, on the evening of October 7, DEEP SOURCE announced the latest developments regarding its artificial intelligence data center project in Penang, Malaysia. The project has a planned IT capacity of 67 MW. The company has entered into data center colocation service agreements with an initial term of ten years for all of the planned IT capacity, and has also signed a letter of intent for construction engineering covering the project's main building and mechanical and electrical works. The relevant preliminary works have been authorized and are underway.

It is worth noting that the progress of DEEP SOURCE's AIDC project in Malaysia has been remarkably swift. In May of this year, the company for the first time explicitly proposed in an announcement that it would expand its business around "AI infrastructure-related industry applications." Subsequently, in its 2026 interim report, the company further elaborated on its strategic transformation plan, stating that it had "already begun planning and implementing the relevant work." In less than half a year, the company further secured the Penang project site and finalized long-term contract customers and the construction contractor.
