Coolpad forecasts narrower H1 2026 loss of HK$54-60 million on cost controls

Coolpad Group Limited (Coolpad, 02369) has issued a profit warning indicating a significantly reduced loss for the six months ended 30 June 2026. Management expects the interim loss attributable to owners to be between HK$54.00 million and HK$60.00 million, an improvement of roughly HK$20.30 million-26.30 million from the HK$80.30 million loss recorded in the prior-year period.

The turnaround is principally attributed to two factors: 1. Administrative and other expenses declined by about HK$27.50 million year on year following intensified cost-control initiatives, resource optimisation and stronger budgetary discipline. 2. Other income and net gains rose by around HK$9.70 million, helped by the absence of lease-termination losses and subsidiary disposals that had weighed on the 2025 interim results.

The figures are based on unaudited management accounts and may be adjusted when the full interim results are finalised. Coolpad plans to publish its detailed interim report on or before 28 August 2026. The board advises shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities until the reviewed results are released.
