YZJ Maritime's stock surged 3.70% during intraday trading on Friday, following the company's announcement of significant fleet expansion and restructuring plans.

The maritime investments company signed contracts to acquire eight Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) newbuilds, each with a capacity of approximately 319,000 deadweight tonnes. These vessels, which will meet Energy Efficiency Design Index Phase 3 standards and feature advanced fuel-optimized hulls and energy-saving devices, are scheduled for delivery between 2028 and 2030.

In a separate transaction, the company agreed to sell four medium-range tankers of 49,800 DWT each, with deliveries planned for 2027 and 2028. YZJ Maritime stated that these transactions are expected to contribute positively to its financial performance upon completion, subject to delivery schedules and applicable accounting recognition.
