Zhang Xue Motorcycles rider Valentin Debise stated on May 31st that the high-temperature conditions at the Aragon round presented new challenges for the team, but they have identified areas for improvement and plan to introduce upgrades for the next race.

The 2026 World Superbike Championship (WSBK) Aragon round concluded on May 31st, with Debise finishing eighth in both main races of the WorldSSP class. Following the second race, the French rider noted that the team made positive progress during the morning's warm-up practice session and with the bike's setup. "We found some speed again. I was running alone at the time, while other riders were using slipstreams more, so the pace wasn't bad," he said.

Debise mentioned that before the second main race, the team adjusted the bike's setup again to cope with the high temperatures, and his feeling during the race was significantly better than the previous day. "Today I felt much more comfortable riding than yesterday; the bike setup was actually very good."

Debise also pointed out that the bike experienced certain issues when following other riders in the hot conditions. "When the temperature is as high as it was today, the whole system is still missing something, and this is a problem we have never encountered before. We didn't know in the past, but now we do." He revealed that the team plans to introduce new components for the upcoming race in Italy to improve the bike's performance in high temperatures.

Currently, Debise holds third place in the WorldSSP riders' championship with 163 points. Looking ahead to the second half of the season, the rider, who has already secured five wins this year, stated that he will continue to aim for the best possible results and maintains confidence in the upcoming tracks, which he is familiar with.
