Nanofilm Technologies International (MZH) released a summary of management’s responses to shareholder questions at its Annual General Meeting held on Apr, 29 2026.
The company explained that Resolution 7 pertains to unexercised options under its pre-IPO Employee Share Option Scheme 2017, while Resolution 8 covers the post-IPO ESOS 2020.
Executive Chairman and Group CEO Dr. Shi Xu said Nanofilm is expanding manufacturing beyond China to Germany, Vietnam, India and Japan to mitigate supply-chain risks. A new Vietnamese plant is expected to reach a scale comparable to the firm’s China operations when fully ramped.
Regarding hydrogen technology, the company’s Sydrogen unit is supplying bipolar plates in China and is working on maritime fuel-cell designs for smaller vessels, with scalability to larger ships deemed technically feasible. Management said recent policy momentum in China could accelerate market adoption.
In response to questions on artificial intelligence, Dr. Shi Xu said Nanofilm is embedding AI in materials research, process optimisation, predictive maintenance and corporate functions, and may indirectly monetise these capabilities through improved products such as printed circuit boards and optical components.
The board raised its interim dividend to 0.87 cents per share and noted that share buybacks remain an option within overall capital management.
Management added that its Advanced Materials Consumer segment accounted for roughly 60 percent of 2025 revenue and grew about 20 percent year-on-year, while recurring after-sales service revenue continues to build in the Industrial Equipment segment.
Nanofilm said it monitors trade receivables weekly and that higher working capital levels align with revenue growth. The company remains open to entering the United States market when conditions are suitable.
