During the peak summer season, production activity is bustling at companies within the Guiyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone. On July 24, the facility of Guizhou Dema Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Dema Intelligent) was a hive of activity, with a batch of smart garage door orders destined for Canada, Switzerland, Australia, and various domestic locations neatly stacked and ready for shipment. Inside the factory, procurement staff member Yang Ruixi was alongside colleagues, checking and verifying aluminum raw materials just delivered from Qingzhen City. "This batch of materials is worth over 100,000 yuan. It arrived on time with stable quality, fully meeting our production order needs," Yang explained. Local sourcing and efficient supply assurance were unimaginable for the company just two years ago. As a high-quality local intelligent manufacturing enterprise in Guiyang, Dema Intelligent specializes in the customization of high-end smart garage doors. It holds over 40 independently developed or jointly developed core structural patents with Central South University. Relying on superior quality and excellent product structure, the company has a stable domestic market share with over 100 dealers nationwide. However, intensifying industry competition gradually created bottlenecks for the company's growth. Previously, all core aluminum raw materials needed by Dema Intelligent were supplied from outside the province. Long-distance transport not only affected production timelines but also raised logistics costs, squeezing profit margins.
The company's operational difficulties were precisely identified by staff from the Guiyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone's "Enterprise Home" during routine visits. Leveraging the city's "Five Helps" special action—delivering policies, solving problems, finding orders, assisting financing, and reducing costs—the service team shifted from a passive "wait-and-handle" model to proactively reaching out to identify pain points and collect requests. To address the core issues of an incomplete industry chain and high logistics costs, they fully utilized local industrial resources and proactively facilitated connections. After multiple rounds of on-site meetings and negotiations, the "Enterprise Home" successfully promoted a long-term strategic partnership between Dema Intelligent and Longshuo Technology (Guiyang) Co., Ltd. in Qingzhen City, enabling local procurement and delivery of core raw materials. Within just two years, nearly 10 local raw material suppliers have established stable cooperation with Dema Intelligent, with about 70% of production raw materials now sourced locally, ending the reliance on cross-provincial procurement. This single measure saves the company over 200,000 yuan in logistics costs annually, easing operational pressure, shortening supply cycles, stabilizing production capacity, and providing confidence for transformation and expansion into new markets.
With the supply chain issue resolved, new opportunities and challenges emerged. As the domestic market became saturated, Dema Intelligent identified growing overseas demand for high-end customized garage doors and planned to target the vast international market as a new growth avenue. However, lacking foreign trade experience and overseas distribution channels, the company struggled to realize its export ambitions. The "Enterprise Home" precisely addressed this need by providing ongoing support, integrating high-end economic and trade resources, establishing an external display platform, and actively recommending the company for international trade exhibitions. Leveraging solid product quality and high cost-effectiveness, Dema Intelligent's garage door products debuted at the 2024 Canton Fair, gaining recognition from dealers in over a dozen countries and breaking the solely domestic sales model, successfully opening overseas sales channels. "Thanks to the 'Enterprise Home''s proactive research and targeted assistance, we gained a valuable opportunity to step out of Guizhou and connect with the world," said Liao Xufu, head of Dema Intelligent. In 2025, the company's foreign trade sales reached 6 million yuan. "Based on the company's overseas expansion trends, we expect foreign trade business to double growth between the second half of 2027 and the first half of 2028, becoming a new economic growth point," Liao noted. This year, the company's foreign trade sales are projected to exceed 10 million yuan.
The "Five Helps" special action continues to provide comprehensive support for enterprise development. Addressing the pain points of high logistics costs and complex procedures for export, the service team precisely targeted the issue again. Leveraging the port advantages of the Guiyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the Guizhou International Cargo Collection and Consolidation Center, they established a mature containerized cargo resource system. This system focuses on solving the consolidation and distribution challenges for small-batch, multi-frequency shipments, continuously optimizing overseas logistics plans, integrating transport capacity, streamlining processes, and reducing costs. "We are about to ship a batch of overseas orders using the bonded zone's cargo consolidation model, saving 15,000 yuan in transportation costs for this single batch," Liao said, adding that the full-chain, refined government services give Dema Intelligent more confidence and peace of mind in venturing into international markets. The sustained and precise support from the "Five Helps" initiative has driven the company's transformative leap and accelerated development. Currently, Dema Intelligent's KUZI brand high-end garage doors are sold in 43 countries and regions worldwide, successfully establishing a reputation for "Made in Guizhou" smart equipment. The transformation of Dema Intelligent—from cross-provincial procurement and cost pressure to local supply and cost reduction, and from domestic sales difficulties to global expansion—is a vivid example of Guiyang's deep cultivation of the "Enterprise Home" platform, implementation of the "Five Helps" action, and optimization of the business environment. Data shows that from January to June this year, the city and county-level "Enterprise Home" units in Guiyang processed over 1,100 enterprise requests. Moving forward, Guiyang will continue to polish the "Enterprise Home" government service brand, deepen the "Five Helps" special action, precisely address the urgent needs of market entities, and provide proactive, full-chain, professional government services to support local enterprises in overcoming difficulties, transforming, and achieving growth, thereby injecting sustained administrative momentum into the high-quality development of the city's real economy.
