City Developments Limited (CDL) has obtained a 300 million Singapore dollars multi-currency sustainability-linked loan (SLL) from DBS Bank, the companies said on May, 15 2026.
The facility, aligned with Sustainability-Linked Loan Principles, carries performance targets that cover urban farming expansion, creation of microforests with native species, stakeholder engagement on climate and nature, adoption of circular materials in developments and improved water efficiency. Proceeds will be used for general corporate funding and working capital purposes, including asset redevelopment and other sustainability initiatives.
The transaction marks the second SLL collaboration between CDL and DBS, following a Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) targets-aligned loan arranged in 2024. CDL has raised more than 11 billion Singapore dollars in sustainable financing since 2017, including Singapore’s first corporate green bond in 2017 and an SDG Innovation loan in 2019.
