Sea Ltd (SE.US), often referred to as "Southeast Asia's Tencent," surged more than 10% at market open on Tuesday, reaching a fresh six-month high with a current trading price of $126.55.
In its second-quarter financial report, Sea Ltd recorded revenue of $77.88 billion, representing a 48.1% year-over-year increase. Diluted earnings per share stood at $0.70, up 7.7% from the same period last year. Gross profit reached $3.5 billion, rising 47.3%, while net profit was $458 million, an increase of 10.6%.
Notably, Shopee contributed $55.90 billion in revenue, up 48% year-over-year. The e-commerce platform delivered a strong performance in the first half of 2026, with gross merchandise value, total orders, and operating income all setting new quarterly records in the second quarter.
Sea Ltd Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Forrest Li (Xiaodong Li) stated: "The strong momentum we saw in the first quarter continued into the second quarter. Our investments have enabled Shopee and Monee to further strengthen our market leadership while increasing user penetration. We will continue to invest prudently, providing better services to more users and broadening the foundation for future earnings growth."
