Xinyi Energy names Lam Chi Kwong as new company secretary; veteran Chu Charn Fai to retire in August 2026

Xinyi Energy Holdings Limited announced that Mr. Chu Charn Fai will step down as company secretary and cease to act as an authorised representative under Hong Kong Listing Rule 3.05 with effect from 31 August 2026, citing personal retirement plans. The Board recorded its appreciation for Mr. Chu’s service and confirmed that he departs without disagreement and with no matters requiring shareholder attention.

Effective 1 September 2026, Mr. Lam Chi Kwong, aged 43, will assume the roles of company secretary and authorised representative. Mr. Lam joined Xinyi Solar Holdings Limited in October 2023 as a senior financial manager, supporting the financial controller across the group. His prior 13-year career spans auditing and accounting, including eight years at PricewaterhouseCoopers working on assurance projects and capital-market assignments. Mr. Lam is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Sun Yat-sen University (2007).

The Board currently consists of four executive directors—Mr. Lee Shing Put (B.B.S.), Tan Sri Datuk Tung Ching Sai (P.S.M., D.M.S.M., B.B.S., J.P.), Mr. Tung Fong Ngai and Mr. Lee Yau Ching—and three independent non-executive directors: Mr. Leung Ting Yuk, The Hon. Ip Kwok Him (G.B.M., G.B.S., J.P.) and Ms. Lyu Fang.
