AMTD IDEA founder Dr. Calvin Choi re-appointed president of Hong Kong Island Federation

AMTD Group Inc., AMTD IDEA Group (AMTD), AMTD Digital Inc. (HKD) and The Generation Essentials Group (TGE) jointly announced that Dr. Calvin Choi, founder of AMTD IDEA, has been re-elected and re-appointed as President of the Hong Kong Island Federation.

The Federation, established in Jun, 1999, supports the Hong Kong SAR Government in maintaining long-term prosperity and stability. It works closely with public agencies on home affairs, social welfare and policing, and currently unites 125 group members, 98 honorary group members and represents more than 200,000 individual members. Since 2021, it has been one of the three leading registered organizations under the Grassroots Associations Subsector of the Hong Kong Election Committee.

According to the statement, Choi’s renewed term underscores community confidence in his public-service record and aligns with AMTD Group’s and AMTD Charity Foundation’s commitment to Hong Kong’s sustainable development and social cohesion.
