Economists at Goldman Sachs, led by Andrew Boak, stated in a research note on Wednesday that, given inflation data coming in stronger than expected, they now foresee the Reserve Bank of Australia increasing the cash rate to 4.6% in November. This follows a previous prediction of holding rates steady.

The economists also underscored that there is a notable risk of an earlier rate move, emphasizing that a rate hike in September by the Australian central bank remains a significant possibility.
