METIS TECHBIO-P's stock soared 179.05% during intraday trading on Wednesday, marking a dramatic debut on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The explosive first-day performance was driven by record-breaking demand for the company's initial public offering. The Hong Kong public offering was oversubscribed approximately 6,911 times, locking up over 730 billion HKD in subscription funds, making it the largest healthcare IPO freeze in Hong Kong this year. The international placement also saw strong demand with 33.86 times oversubscription from over 208 institutional investors.

The company, dubbed the AI Drug Delivery First Stock, raised over 2.1 billion HKD through its global offering and attracted 18 cornerstone investors including BlackRock, UBS, Hillhouse, and Deerfield, who collectively subscribed to approximately 54.87% of offered shares. Metis TechBio has built the world's largest lipid library containing over 10 million structurally diverse lipids and has established partnerships with over 30 global pharmaceutical companies.
