From the Middle Eastern desert to the Gobi Desert in Gansu, from a floating solar project in Shandong to a computing power industrial park in the Northwest, from central enterprise annual procurement to the first order in an emerging South Asian market—in July, JA Solar delivered a performance spanning three continents and covering seven sectors.
Green Electricity Direct Connection for Chemical Giant: Wanhua Haiyang 100MW Floating Solar
The chemical industry is one of the sectors under the most pressure to reduce carbon emissions, with stable electricity loads but challenging green electricity direct connections. JA Solar achieved this—the project in Haiyang, Shandong, uses a floating solar plus green electricity direct connection model, supplying clean power directly to Wanhua Chemical's production base. This marks JA Solar's first deep cooperation with a chemical industry leader in a green electricity scenario, offering a new, replicable model for industrial carbon reduction.
Central Enterprise Annual Framework Secured: China Datang Corporation 6GW TOPCon Procurement
Central enterprise annual procurement supplier screening is notoriously stringent, evaluating not only product efficiency but also manufacturing system stability and full-cycle delivery performance. In July, two framework agreements from central enterprise annual procurement were finalized. JA Solar successfully entered the shortlist for the China Datang Corporation 2026-2027 annual 6GW N-type TOPCon module procurement. This framework agreement covers Datang's national photovoltaic projects, laying the foundation for supply to the central enterprise market over the next two years.
From Full Shortlisting to Core Signing: CGN New Energy 1.2GW Procurement Agreement
JA Solar was previously shortlisted for all seven bid sections of CGN New Energy's 2026 annual procurement, covering five major regions: East China, Northwest, Southwest, North China, and Northeast. In July, it formally signed a 1.2GW order for bid section three. The full recognition of JA Solar's products and services by central enterprise clients is translating into continuous order execution.
Solar-Storage Integration Empowers AI Computing Power: Northwest Computing Power Industrial Park 60MW+60MWh
Computing power is the engine of new infrastructure, and JA Solar is becoming the energy supplier that keeps that engine running. This project in the Northwest provides a source-grid-load-storage integrated system for an AI data center. JA Solar not only supplied 60MW of high-efficiency modules but also secured the bid for a 15MW/60MWh energy storage system, achieving dual delivery of modules and storage. The solar-plus-storage model, leveraging solar-storage synergy to smooth renewable energy fluctuations, provides stable and reliable green power assurance for the high-energy-consumption computing center. It is a benchmark case of "computing-electricity synergy" in infrastructure.
Global First 24-Hour Green Power Benchmark: Abu Dhabi RTC 3GW Solar-Storage Project
Round-the-clock green power supply demands high scheduling capabilities for solar-storage synergy and long-term reliability of equipment in high-temperature, high-humidity environments. This project in Abu Dhabi, with an overall plan for 5.2GW solar and 19GWh storage, is the world's first gigawatt-scale round-the-clock solar-storage project. JA Solar secured a 3GW module supply contract as the preferred supplier, with the first batch of modules shipped in July. The products will support 24-hour uninterrupted green power supply for Middle Eastern AI data centers, marking a new milestone for JA Solar's high-end overseas market and localized delivery capabilities.
Desert, Gobi, and Barren Land Base Strategy Implementation: Gansu Tengger 584.64MW Desert Solar Project
Desert solar projects face challenges like wind and sand erosion, extreme temperature fluctuations, and harsh construction conditions, testing both module durability and supply rhythm. This project in Minqin County, Gansu, is a core project of the national-level "Desert, Gobi, and Barren Land" large-scale wind-solar base and a key supporting power source for the "Gansu Power to Zhejiang" ultra-high voltage direct current transmission project. JA Solar won a 584.64MW bid, with a contract value of approximately 409 million yuan. Delivery will start in August and be completed by October. The strategic value of this order lies not only in its scale but also in its deep involvement in the comprehensive model combining "new energy + peaking thermal power + energy storage."
Exclusive Supply for Emerging South Asian Market: Bhutan 120MW Solar Project
Project execution in emerging markets often presents challenges beyond the product itself, from cross-border logistics to local construction coordination, testing every aspect of a supplier's systemic capabilities. JA Solar is the exclusive supplier of all modules for Bhutan's 120MWp Jamjee Solar PV Project, which started construction last year and is expected to connect to the grid in early 2027. Following the Middle East, this marks another footprint in the South Asian market, validating JA Solar's complete closed-loop capability from bidding to delivery in emerging markets.
Looking back at July, the seven projects spanned seven different dimensions: central enterprise procurement, large-scale ground-mounted power stations, floating solar, desert bases, computing power industrial parks, overseas benchmark projects, and emerging South Asian markets. The scenarios are diverse, and the models are varied. These achievements perfectly reflect the true essence of JAx: green energy driven by JA Solar is entering the real-world energy consumption sites of thousands of industries, becoming a reliable force powering their operations.
