The Wei brand has officially launched its five-seat flagship SUV, the V8X, in a market debut featuring five variants: Sport Max, Sport Ultra, Family Max, Family Ultra, and Family Ultra+. The limited-time exclusive pricing ranges from 226,800 yuan to 302,800 yuan.
The V8X adopts a family design language similar to the Wei V9X, featuring an integrated wraparound cockpit and a 256-color intelligent ambient lighting system. It offers two interior color options: cream white and gray-brown. The front row provides a headroom of 1,091 mm, the second row offers 1,072 mm of headroom, the second-row interior height reaches 1,325 mm, and the second-row legroom is 425 mm. The trunk volume ranges from 864 to 2,225 liters, with a total of 40 storage compartments throughout the vehicle.
Under the hood, the V8X is powered by a 2.0T engine paired with a four-speed hybrid-specific transmission and a front and rear dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. The system delivers a maximum power output of 500 kW and a peak torque of 930 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds with a full battery and 4.7 seconds in a depleted state. The vehicle is equipped with a 66.6 kWh battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 402 km and a combined CLTC range of 1,659 km. It also supports an 800V platform with 6C ultra-fast charging, enabling a 170 km range boost in just five minutes of charging. The V8X features a self-developed super smart chassis, supporting bidirectional 20-degree rear-wheel steering with a minimum turning radius of 5 meters, along with variable wheelbase adjustment, closed dual-chamber air suspension, and EDC continuously variable damping shock absorbers, providing a 100 mm height adjustment range.
In terms of intelligence, the V8X is equipped with a dual VLA native AI cockpit and driving agent. The "Xiao Wei" cockpit agent, powered by the industry's first in-cabin VLA large model, replicates human memory mechanisms, perceiving emotions, understanding commands, executing actions, and continuously learning to grow. The "Xiao Wei" driving agent, powered by a driving assistance VLA large model, is built on the Guiyuan S platform with a native AI architecture, deeply coordinating with the vehicle's atomic capabilities. It is supported by a 700 TOPS Thor-U driving assistance chip, fully enabling the VLA large model to operate. The system supports full-scenario NOA navigation from parking spot to parking spot, covering over 10 high-frequency complex scenarios, including park roaming and silent mapping.
For safety, the V8X uses 2,200 MPa ultra-high-strength hot-formed steel, with high-strength steel and aluminum-magnesium alloy accounting for 88% of the vehicle body. Battery safety features six layers of protection plus 24-hour cloud monitoring. Active safety includes AEB emergency braking operational up to 150 km/h, AES emergency steering active up to 130 km/h, and RAEB rear braking supporting speeds up to 45 km/h.
